There was little mess or disruption…
“I was given Rich’s details via Velux and as he was local he popped in and gave us a quote. The windows were not cheap but the price for replacing 2 large and one small Velux seemed reasonable. Rich sourced the products and was very good at communicating any queries we had re the different types and options. Fitting took about 3 days, slightly longer because of the difficulty getting up the attic stairs with the sheer size and weight of the windows. There was little mess or disruption really and when fitted they looked really good and far superior to the very old ones we replaced. Rich had to call back to refit a bannister rail and finish some filling and he was absolutely fine with this. My only slight comment was we weren’t quite sure whether we needed to skim or plaster over some of the boarding around the windows but the decorator filled and sanded them so this wasn’t really an issue. A really good job and the windows look so much better!”

Rich installed an Ikea kitchen for us including sheeting the upper surfaces in ply for a stone worktop to be installed later. All work was done with great attention to detail and accuracy especially fine fitting of the units to provide drawer clearance for a corner unit. On time, enthusiastic and no mess ( my carpenter friend is in love with that Festool saw). Great job.

Richard converted our loft into an en-suite master bedroom, his price was competitive and he kept to the timelines and amount quoted. He is enthusiastic, personable and nothing was ever any trouble. He was very sympathetic to and open to our perhaps unconventional plans and had some great ideas of how to best make use of the space. I would highly recommend him.

Rich built a fabulous garden office for us. Despite the only access being through our flat into the garden and involving two sets of stairs, there was very little mess, no complaining and no hassle. Everything was completed on time and on budget and we’re delighted with the finished result. We’d totally recommend Richard for any project since he’s practical and easy to get on with as well as being a skilled craftsman.

This is the second loft that Rich has converted for me, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Rich should we move again and need a loft converting. He does a great job, managing all the sub contractors very well, but most importantly he is very professional and easy to work with. Discussing details, explaining what is being done and providing sound advice for the next phases brings far more to the job than a contractor just following the plan. Rich uses his experience to provide guidance on how to make the best out of the space you have to convert. We are extremely happy with the results, of what was a complex and challenging conversion of an entire loft space of a detached property, that also required structural support from the ground floor of the house.

Richard is a trustworthy human being, he is professional and thorough in his work. He plans well, explains and offers good advise on what actually needs to be done, as well as keeping us informed throughout the stage’s of development. He kept everything tidy and cleared up which is also a really good quality in my book. He has great contractors who do their jobs well and efficiently. All in all I can’t fault Richard’s work and craftsmanship. It’s like a family business. Thank you for everything.. we love our new loft conversion.

I wanted Richard to remove a couple of velux windows and install a Velux Cabrio window – the type that becomes a balcony once fully opened. He even included a little step up to the balcony area which made our viewing platform even better. Richard’s work was impeccable. And he left the site clean every day. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Richard again. ..and he’s a lovely bloke!
