Jackson Loft Conversion, JCL Build LTD and Carpentry Services
Thank you for choosing us for your loft conversion project. To keep everything clear and straightforward, here are our terms:
1. Quotes & Booking
- Quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Your booking is confirmed once you approve the quote (in writing or by email) and pay the agreed deposit.
- If you make changes after booking, the cost and timescale may change.
2. Payments
- An agreed deposit is required before work starts.
- For bigger projects, staged payments may be agreed in advance.
- The final balance is due within 30 days of completion.
3. What’s Included
- We’ll carry out all work agreed in your quote, using quality materials and skilled workmanship.
- If a specific material isn’t available, we may use an equivalent alternative.
- Any extra work not in the original quote will be priced and agreed with you first.
4. Access & Safety
- Please make sure we can access the property during working hours.
- We’ll follow all health & safety rules, and ask that you don’t enter restricted work areas while we’re on site.
5. Permissions & Regulations
- You are responsible for arranging planning permission, building control approval, and any party wall agreements if required.
6. Timing & Delays
- We’ll always aim to finish on time, but delays may happen due to weather, supply issues, or unexpected site conditions. If that happens, we’ll keep you informed.
7. Guarantee
- All our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months after completion.
- This doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by others, or lack of maintenance.
- Any manufacturer warranties on materials will be passed on to you.
8. Insurance & Liability
- We carry full public liability insurance (up to £1,000,000). Please let your building insurance company know works are happening.
- We’re not responsible for indirect costs or losses (e.g. lost rent, inconvenience) caused by delays or issues beyond our control.
9. Ending the Agreement
- If you wish to cancel after work has started, you’ll need to pay for the work and materials used up to that point.
- If payments are not made as agreed, we may stop work until the account is settled.
10. Governing Law
- These terms are covered by the laws of England and Wales.
