Vertically hung tiles are one of the best cladding for dormers and blends in with existing roof. Richard will talk you through the options on your first initial meeting.
The lead flashing sits between joints to prevent rain entering the building, this is very important to keep maintained, don’t worry it has a life span of about 60 years.

A standard loft conversion can take 8 weeks to build. During the first 6 weeks Richard and his team will access the loft via the scaffolding and keep disruption to your home to a minimum.
A Velux or eves loft conversion in an average 3 bedroom terraced house with a master bedroom and an en-suite bathroom would take between 5 to 6 weeks.
When changes are made to the initial design or specialist windows with a longer order time this can add to this build time.

My recent client didn’t get planning permission to have a box roof dormer. Instead they where allowed to have a two pitch roof dormers, adding traditional architectural interest inside and out.
Pitch roof dormer can also be used on the hip roof to provide head room for the stairs, bathroom or just part of the space. A great architectural feature creating a beautiful space.

My recent loft conversion featured a beautiful four panel Cabrio Velux Window in a master bedroom. Creating an enormous amount of light and space. Cabrio windows are quiet straight forward to fit and can be installed onto most types of roof. This is the loft before I started.
